Pretreatment Technician I - Position Available

South Valley Water Reclamation Facility is accepting resumes/applications for pretreatment technician I.
Responsibilities and Duties: Under supervision of the pretreatment director, performs pretreatment sampling and inspections, gathers samples and inspects industrial and commericial facilities for compliance with local, state and federal regulations, chemical storage requirements and safety protocols. Apprises pretreatment director of potential necessary enforcement and legal actions, collects evidence for enforcement in accordance with established department policies, procedures, and regulations. Provides pretreatment director with inspection information as requested. Maintains professional appearance and demeanor and positive/professional relations with the public and coworkers.
Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. One year (1) of experience in industrial pretreatment, wastewater treatment and/or collections is desired but not required. Utah Wastewater Treatment and/or Collections Operator certifications preferred. Strong oral and written skills, problem solving, familiarity with standard computer hardware and software systems, ability to positively interact with the public and coworkers. Bilingual capabilities are a plus. Possession of a valid Utah driver's license.
